LAS VEGAS — The Tacoma Rainiers held off a ninth-inning threat to beat the Las Vegas 51s, 6-4, in Pacific Coast League action Sunday.
Tacoma (53-56) scored four runs in the top of the sixth, two of them via a double by shortstop Chris Taylor. Las Vegas (60-49) responded in the bottom of the sixth with a three-run homer by Dilson Herrera, then scored once more in the bottom of the ninth.

The Volcanoes opened the scoring with two runs in the bottom of the third inning and added a solo homer by Scott Price in the fifth to beat Everett.
