There were many questions going into the 2024 season for first year head coach and his staff, but the defense in general drew the majority of the questions and intrigue. Part of that was because of the poor performance the past couple of seasons on that side of the ball, but the larger portion was the incoming DC, Steve Belichick. Obviously the son of the best NFL coach of all time is going to be a topic of conversation, but the transformation that he instrumented was immediate. The defensive backs were one of the major reasons for such dramatic improvement for the defense as a whole.
