Seattle software company Spoken Communications has raised $28.8 million in fresh financing from Menlo Park, Calif.-based Riverwood Capital to expand the 10-year-old company’s cloud-based technology for call centers.
Spoken enables call centers to keep all information, including databases and customer information, in a virtual system online. The company has 30 enterprise customers, CEO Howard Lee said Wednesday.
Spoken has raised more than $50 million total, including a previous round led by Bellevue venture capital firm Ignition Partners.
The company has 75 employees in downtown Seattle and revenue of $22.5 million last year. Spoken plans to use the latest funding round for growing sales and marketing efforts and developing products.
