Shakur Stevenson defeated Jamel Herring by 10th-round TKO to win the WBO junior lightweight title in the main event of a Top Rank card on Saturday at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
With the victory, Stevenson (17-0, 9 KOs), 24, became a two-division champion. He earned the WBO featherweight belt in 2019 against Joet Gonzalez.
Herring (23-3, 11 KOs), 35, had won the title in a unanimous decision victory against Masayuki Ito in 2019 and made three successful defenses before meeting Stevenson.
