The Seattle Reign has announced its 2016 National Women’s Soccer League season schedule, with its opener against Sky Blue FC at Memorial Stadium on April 17 at 4 p.m.
The first rematch of the 2015 NWSL title game comes May 1 at Memorial Stadium against defending champion FC Kansas City, and the inaugural matchup against Alex Morgan’s Orlando Pride follows a week later at the Citrus Bowl. Seattle faces rival Portland four times in the regular season, starting with the May 14 match at Memorial Stadium.
The league schedule was crafted to avoid all FIFA dates, with a four-week break built around this summer’s Olympic Games in Brazil.
