Washington quarterback Jake Browning reportedly underwent shoulder surgery to repair an injury suffered in the Huskies' win over Arizona State on Nov. 19.
The Seattle Times' Adam Jude reported Tuesday that the 20-year-old Browning, coming off a true sophomore season in which he was named Pac-12 offensive player of the year, will face about a six-week recovery.
In a radio interview with 710 ESPN Seattle on Jan. 5, six days after the Huskies' 24-7 loss to Alabama in the Peach Bowl, UW head coach Chris Petersen hinted that Browning had been working through an injury in the latter part of the season.
