MINNEAPOLIS — You’d think Rob Rasmussen would have being traded down to an art form. After all, the diminutive left-hander has been traded five times in the past four seasons. The latest trade sent him and two young left-handed pitching prospects — Nick Wells and Jake Brentz — from the Blue Jays to the Mariners for reliever Mark Lowe.
Rasmussen was in the midst of preparing for a road trip to Charlotte with Class AAA Buffalo and hoping to see his goddaughter by arriving a day early when he got the call from the Blue Jays assistant general manager that he’d been traded, again.
