Yesterday in El Cerrito, CA some of the top players on the west coast participated in the regional Opening event. One of those participants happened to be current Husky commit Ethan Garbers from Corona Del Mar HS, CA. Garbers, who is a composite 4 star player, won the quarterback MVP honors. He beat out some of higher ranked players including 5 star D.J. Uiagulelei, and 4 star Jay Butterfield. By winning the MVP honors Garbers punched his ticket to the Elite 11. I am a big fan of Garbers and I think he is probably ranked still a little low (he has only started on the varsity team for 1 year).
