EL PASO, Texas — The Tacoma Rainiers fought off rain and multiple El Paso scoring threats to beat the Chihuahuas, 5-1, and extend their winning streak to a season-high five games on Wednesday night at Southwest University Park.
The Rainiers’ bullpen stymied El Paso scoring threats in the fourth and fifth inning by inducing double plays, and worked out of a bases-loaded, one-out threat with back-to-back strikeouts in the seventh.
