The Port of Seattle hired David Freiboth as senior director of labor relations.
Freiboth is responsible for providing direction and guidance for labor relations. He will report directly to Chief Executive Ted Fick and work with a wide range of labor unions and the Port of Seattle. Nearly half the Port’s 1,800 employees are represented by 20 different labor locals, and six union locals comprising its external labor relations.
He was executive secretary of the M.L. King County Labor Council since 2006 and represented 125 affiliated local unions, advising national labor leadership, managing staff, and serving as primary spokesman for labor locals.
