Pickin’ the PAC: A Top Ten Showdown

Whenever two top ten teams matchup in a football game, it is a big deal in College Football-ville. Whenever that matchup happens in the PAC 10, it is kind of a big deal.

In fact, the last time (I believe) that two AP ranked top 10 teams met from within the PAC 12 conference was in 2013 when then #5 Stanford hosted #3 Oregon in a game that, in my opinion, re-legitimized the concept of “power football” in the college game. Stanford pitched a shutout for three quarters until the Ducks rallied for 20 points in the fourth.
