It appears Washington Huskies football coach Chris Petersen won’t be taking the first step to break bread with ESPN.
Especially after the largest sports-based television network in the world mockingly laid down a few cupcakes to belittle his team’s schedule during the broadcast of the Huskies-California game Saturday night.
A week after Petersen took to task the spate of UW late kickoffs, including back-to-back 7:45 p.m. PDT starts against Cal, and this week at Arizona State, the coach was asked if he regretted making any of those comments.
“Not at all,” Petersen said in a stern voice during his weekly on-campus Monday press conference.
