Azeem Victor, the Huskies' emerging middle linebacker, was flagged for a 'hit on the defenseless quarterback for forcible contact to the head or neck area.'
Azeem Victor, Washington’s emerging middle linebacker, is suspended from the first half of the Huskies’ game against Oregon for a targeting penalty against USC last week that the Pac-12’s vice president of officiating said was the correct call.
David Coleman, in an e-mail to ESPN.com, wrote about Victor’s hit:
“The call was roughing the passer with targeting. The targeting was called for the hit on the defenseless quarterback for forcible contact to the head or neck area.
