Let's face it, the Washington Huskies aren't impressing the College Football Playoff Committee with their 2019 strength of schedule, regardless of how well they ultimately perform.
UW had Auburn and BYU last year – two quality opponents. But in the upcoming season, apart from another showdown with BYU (at Provo), the Huskies have Eastern Washington and Hawaii in two of their three nonconference games at home – an FCS and a sup-par FBS program, respectively.
Not to mention, Washington has a pretty favorable Pac-12 schedule. It has Arizona, Colorado and Oregon State – three teams projected to finish near the bottom of the conference – on the road.
