Sophomore Marcus McMaryion, Oregon State’s third-string quarterback, will get his first start of the season against No. 5 Washington at Husky Stadium on Saturday, OSU coach Gary Andersen announced Monday.
The Beavers (2-4, 1-2 Pac-12) lost starting quarterback Darell Garretson to a broken ankle in their loss to Utah on Saturday. Backup QB Conor Blount was also injured in the game.
McMaryion was a part-time starter for Oregon State last season. He started against the Huskies in Corvallis, completing 8-of-16 passes for 109 yards with one touchdown and one interception in UW’s 52-7 victory.
