This week, the Dawgs face the Eastern Michigan Eagles in what will be their first ever matchup. Over the years, there have been few ties between UW and the MAC schools aside from legendary Husky Head Coach Don James earning his first HC position at Kent State. While the Huskies have historically been the more competitive program, Eastern Michigan has been a solid program with a number of NFL alumni that have been developed during HC Chris Creighton’s 10-year tenure. That development, and their stout defense, will be put to the test as the Eagles make a dramatic step up in competition from Independent and perennial bottom dweller UMass to Montlake.
