Dougherty: Flip Brady Smigiel
Nearly all of the top quarterback prospects out west made early commitments and that included Newbury Park quarterback, Brady Smigiel. Smigiel is currently committed to Florida State, but since he made his commitment to them in June they Seminoles had a terrible season going 2-10, which lead to both coordinators getting fired. Smigiel also visited UW in mid December and there is speculation that the bad season and coaching change were enough to have him reconsider his commitment to the Seminoles. Having a top quarterback prospect committed to your class not only helps the future of the position group itself, but they are the position that most commonly attracts other top talented players to join them.
