The Washington men’s crew beat the Netherlands U-23 in an “E-Race” last week, the two teams competing continents apart on indoor rowing machines.
On May 2, the Huskies will learn if they can beat the Dutch team on the water, as it was announced Wednesday that the Netherland U-23 men’s team is taking part in the 34th annual Windermere Cup on the Montlake Cut.
The defending national champion UW women’s crew will also face a tough challenge at the Windermere Cup, with Great Britain’s U-23 women’s team taking part in the event, part of Opening Day of boating season.
