There are plenty of reasonable explanations as to why the Washington Huskies are just 10-10 (1-8) almost halfway through conference play.
You can start with the fact that the Dawgs just played what is almost certainly the toughest 7-game stretch in program history and what might be the most difficult in all of college basketball this year. Washington played 7 consecutive games against teams ranked in the top-32 at KenPom including 5 straight games versus teams ranked in the top-25 of the AP Poll in the middle.
Even a borderline NCAA team would struggle to come out of that stretch with more than 2 wins.
