SEATTLE (AP) — Amber Melgoza scored 15 points and Missy Peterson added 11 to help Washington beat Colorado 68-58 and snap a five-game losing streak on Friday night.
T.T. Watkins had 10 points for the Huskies (8-8, 1-3 Pac-12), who led by double digits after Peterson's 3-pointer with 4:31 left in the third quarter made it 48-36. Peterson finished 3 of 6 from 3-point range.
Washington never trailed, opening the game on a 17-3 run and going into the break with a 39-26 lead. Colorado cut the deficit to six with five straight points to start the third quarter but got no closer.
