A large fire burning near Deckerville, Mason County, has destroyed at least one house and is threatening several other structures, emergency officials said Friday afternoon.
Residents and livestock near West Deckerville Road are being evacuated from the area of the fire, which has grown to 120 acres, according to Mason County Emergency Communications. Several emergency agencies are responding to the fire, which is west of Matlock.
All of West Deckerville Road up to West Beeville Loop Road is being evacuated. The area includes West Frisken Y Road, West Homer Adams Road, West Lucas Lane, West Ford Road and West Maple Rock Road.
