Coach Lorenzo Romar had plenty of reasons to be happy after Washington’s 92-67 rout over TCU on Tuesday.
The Huskies collected a season-high 16 steals. They a 24-6 rebounding advantage in the first half and forced 26 turnovers, which resulted in a season-high 27 points.
Romar said that’s how the UW defense is supposed to play when everything is clicking.
“That would be what I would it would look like,” he said. “Maybe even not at that level. Maybe something just slightly lower than that would be good. I’m not one of these coaches who is going to play mind games and say we’re not quite there yet.
