Lorenzo Romar didn’t expect Washington would throttle Montana 92-62

Romar said: “I’ll be the first to admit that I did not see that coming. We were prepared to play a tough game down to the wire. We felt that’s what it was going to be.”

Lorenzo Romar was anticipating a nail-bitter Saturday against Montana.

Considering the Grizzlies nearly upset No. 24 Gonzaga before falling in the final seconds on Tuesday, the Washington coach expected a similar outing at Alaska Airlines Arena.

To his delight, the Huskies removed all suspense early and ran away with a 92-62 victory.

It was the third straight lopsided win for UW, which improved to 7-2 overall and 5-0 at home.
