Las Vegas jumped on Tacoma Rainiers starter Chien-Ming Wang early, plating three runs in the first inning in a 5-2 victory at Cashman Field on Tuesday.
Wang did not allow another run after the first inning and pitched seven innings, allowing just two earned runs on eight hits with two strikeouts.
The Rainiers scored a pair of runs in the fourth inning on a two-run single by Shawn O’Malley.
