LAKE STEVENS — Jacob Eason, wearing a ratty tank top he pulled out of the lost-and-found for his second-period weight-training class at Lake Stevens High School, was shocked to see a surprise visitor.
Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner entered the room with a large trophy.
Wagner appeared more excited than Eason as he presented the Lake Stevens quarterback the trophy signifying he’d been selected the Gatorade National High School Player of the Year.
Eason overcame his shock and quickly announced he was sticking to his original commitment and will play college football at the University of Georgia.
