Kelsey Plum leads Washington to rout of Washington State

PULLMAN — Kelsey Plum scored 33 points to lead Washington to a 79-64 victory over Washington State in the Pac-12 women’s basketball opener at Beasley Coliseum.

Plum, the nation’s leading scorer, had 19 points in the first half and didn’t ease up in the second. Plum was 10 of 22 from the field and made all eight of her free throws.

There have been 43 games in which a Husky (10-2) has scored 30 or more points, and Plum has 16 of them.

Mariah Cooks led the Cougars (9-3) with 20 points and freshman Borislava Hristova had 15.
