LAS VEGAS — Kelsey Plum didn’t let a poor-shooting first half keep her down for very long.
Washington’s sharpshooting junior scored 34 points in leading the Huskies (5-1) to a 77-73 victory Saturday over Texas Tech (4-1) in the South Point Shootout.
Plum was just 1-for-8 from the field in the first half as the Huskies trailed 38-30 at the break.
In the third quarter, though, the Huskies rolled to a 27-12 advantage in the 10 minutes as Plum scored 19 points, hitting seven of nine shots during one stretch.
The Red Raiders rebounded to tie the score at 59-59 with eight minutes left.
