Washington has made it official: Jacob Eason will be a Husky.
The former five-star quarterback recruit out of Lake Stevens High School is transferring from Georgia to UW, the school annoucned Tuesday afternoon.
Eason will be the overwhelming favorite to succeed Jake Browning as the Huskies’ starting quarterback in 2019.
The 6-foot-5 Eason will have to sit out the 2018 season under NCAA transfer rules. He will have two seasons of eligibility at UW after that.
The Seattle Times first reported Tuesday of Eason’s intention to transfer to UW last month.
The 2015 Gatorade national high school player of the year is leaving Georgia after two seasons.
