#8 Washington (27-5, 16-4 Pac-12) advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament on Friday, defeating LIU-Brooklyn in straight sets at Alaska Airlines Arena.
The Husky offense proved to be far too much for the Blackbirds (20-10, 13-3 NEC), hitting a scorching .478 as a team and committing only six total attack errors in the three sets. The Huskies also racked up 10 aces while committing just 6 service errors (having an equal number of aces and errors is viewed as quite positive, anything more is fantastic).
Courtney Schwan had a very efficient outing, picking up 10 kills on 18 swings without an error (.
