Husky History: Non NY6 Bowls, Part 2

If you missed part 1, here it is! Let’s go over the Husky bowls from the past 25 years, in this second installment

1999 Holiday Bowl

The 1999 Huskies, led by first year head coach Rick Neuheisel, finished at 7-4 going into the Holiday Bowl. A win against Neuheisel’s former team in Colorado offset losses to BYU and Air Force in the nonconference schedule, and UW only lost to Arizona State and UCLA in PAC 10 play, going 6-2. They were led offensively by Marques Tuiasosopo (2221 yards, 12 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, also 541 yards, 6 touchdowns on the ground), Willie Hurst (546 yards, 5 touchdowns), and receiver Gerald Harris (37 catches, 571 yards, 4 touchdowns), with the receiving corps also getting a boost from Chris Juergens (42 catches, 516 yards, 1 TD).
