Now that the Huskies will face the Louisville Cardinals today in the Sun Bowl, I thought it would be nice to complete the Husky History bowl picture, after I went over the NY6 Bowls last year. These bowls might mean next to nothing nowadays with the College Football Playoff, but I still think they’re somewhat of a badge of honor, and they clearly mean a lot to the players and coaches, so they’re still worth watching and covering! Let’s get to it!
1938 Poi Bowl
Like Army always getting a tie in spot in the Military Bowl, the Poi Bowl (later renamed the Pineapple Bowl) was a showcase for the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (then named the Rainbows).
