The University of Washington baseball team opens its 2018 season on the road with four games at Sacramento State, starting Friday. The Huskies were picked to finish seventh in the Pac-12 poll and enter the year unranked in any of the national polls.
The Huskies return 20 players who were on the 2017 roster and welcome 15 newcomers.
UW returns three All-Pac-12 honorable mention players in the field in A.J. Graffanino at shortstop, Levi Jordan at second base and Willie MacIver, who will move from third base to catcher and first base this season.
On the pitching staff, the Huskies will have to replace 2017 ace Noah Bremer and bullpen stalwart Greg Minier, but besides that, return mostly intact.
