Washington Huskies QB Cyler Miles has decided to retire from football due to a chronic hip injury, the University announced on Monday.
Miles was UW's starting QB in 2014 as a sophomore. He had taken an indefinite leave of absence from the program earlier in 2015 and did not participate in any of the spring practices.
“I am grateful to Coach Petersen and his staff for all the opportunities I have been given here at Washington,” Miles said in a prepared statement released by the University.
