Huskies links: UW assistant Jeff Choate set to interview for head-coaching job at Montana State

Dan Hawkins, the former Boise State and Colorado coach, has also reportedly applied for the coaching vacancy at Montana State

Washington assistant coach Jeff Choate is scheduled to interview this week for the head-coaching job at Montana State, according to a report from Skyline Sports.

Choate has spent the past two seasons as UW’s defensive line coach and special teams coordinator, overseeing a line that featured All-Americans Danny Shelton and Hau’oli Kikaha in 2014. This year, he coached a completely rebuilt defensive line, helping the Huskies lead the Pac-12 in scoring defense and total defense.
