Huskies’ Kelsey Plum named Pac-12 player of the week

Washington guard Kelsey Plum was named Monday the Pac-12 player of the week after leading the Huskies to victories over No. 17 UCLA and No. 25 USC over the weekend.

Plum, a junior, continues to lead the nation in scoring with 27.3 points per game.

The Huskies defeated No. 17 UCLA on Friday night and No. 25 USC on Sunday afternoon to improve to 5-2 in the Pac-12 and 14-4 overall. Plum scored 23 points in Friday’s 64-56 win over UCLA, then scored 32 points in a 69-60 win over USC.

On Sunday, Plum also moved up UW’s all-time scoring list, passing UW Hall of Famer Giuliana Mendiola.
