Cameron Williams, a four-star safety from Bakersfield, Calif., announced his commitment to Washington on Wednesday night.
Williams, listed at 6-feet and 200 pounds, had previously been committed to Oregon in April, but backed off that pledge less than two months later.
He said Wednesday he chose the Huskies over USC.
His commitment to the Huskies adds another high-profile defensive back for co-defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake’s secondary.
“My relationships with coach Jimmy Lake and coach Petersen was the biggest reason why I chose Washington,” Williams told 247Sports.com. “I know those guys will take care of me on the field but more importantly off the field and that’s what I was looking for.
