Washington freshman forward Marquese Chriss fractured his right wrist during a workout and will not be able to participate when Huskies begin practice Saturday.
Coach Lorenzo Romar didn’t give a definitive timetable on his return, but expects Chriss to miss at least 2-3 weeks. Romar is optimistic the 6-9, 225-pound newcomer will be able to practice before the Nov. 13 opener against Texas in Shanghai, China.
Chriss is one of the marquee players in UW’s 2015 recruiting class that was ranked eighth nationally by ESPN.com. He’s 60th on ESPN’s top 100 list that ranks 2015 recruits.
