It's no secret that the Washington Huskies and Washington State Cougars aren't terribly fond of each other.
Like so many in-state rivalries, the two programs and their respective fanbases engage in a near-constant battle for supremacy. Husky fans will tell you that the Cougs are their younger brother – feisty and fun to fight with, but ultimately not much of a threat. On the other hand, Cougs fans rail against their rival's perceived air of superiority, insisting that they deserve to be taken just as seriously.
This year, that debate is a little more interesting.
The Huskies had a tumultuous season that saw them lose three games they probably should've won (Against Auburn, Oregon and Cal) before beating the Cougs for its sixth consecutive season in the 2018 Apple Cup.
