Goats stabbed at Coeur d’Alene water well

Coeur d'Alene police are investigating after three goats were found stabbed at a city-owned water well.

SPOKANE — Coeur d’Alene police are investigating after three goats were found stabbed at a city-owned water well.

KREM-TV reports that one of the animals was found dead and nearly decapitated Tuesday at the Honeysuckle water well and another had to be put down because of its injuries.

Goat owner Quintin Forte has a contract with the city to use his goats for weed control on some city properties. Forte had 16 goats at the well Monday.

Officials say the well is about four acres and is fenced with a locked gate.
