Seven months after re-opening his commitment and backing away from a verbal commitment to Washington, Garfield High shooting guard Daejon Davis announced he’s going to play basketball for the Huskies after all.
Davis, 6-foot-4 and 175 pounds, sent a tweet Monday wearing a UW jersey with a caption that read: “home sweet home.”
Davis, who was considering Gonzaga, Oregon and Stanford, is a consensus four-star prospect, according to the major recruiting services. ESPN him Davis 43rd nationally. He’s rated 45th by Scout.com and Rivals.com.
Davis originally committed to Washington in August of 2015. He told ESPN.
