The Les Schwab Invitational started with a bang Sunday.
The nationally ranked teams rolled to impressive wins, including No. 1 Oak Hill Academy (Va) which had no trouble putting away Oregon’s Liberty High 82-43.
Meanwhile, No. 6 Garfield clobbered Oregon’s David Douglas 105-59 in the highest scoring game on Day 1. And No. 5 DeMatha Catholic from Maryland rebounded from a sluggish first half and ran away from Oregon’s Westview for a 76-40 win.
If DeMatha and Garfield survive today’s quarterfinals, they’ll meet in a highly anticipated 9 p.m. semifinal matchup on Tuesday that will feature a pair of future Washington Huskies.
