Four former Washington rowers have been named to the U.S. Olympic team for the competition in August in Rio de Janeiro.
Katelin Snyder, who was the coxswain for the Huskies’ men team from 2007-2009, will be the coxswain for the U.S. women’s eight boat at Rio. Kerry Simmonds, a Husky from 2009-2011, will join Snyder on the eight boat. It will be the first Olympics for both.
Adrienne Martelli (2008-2010) and Megan Kalmoe (2004-2006) are back in women’s quadruple sculls, where they earned bronze medals in the 2012 Olympics in London.
Four other Huskies — Sam Ojserks, Rob Munn, Sam Dommer and Hans Struzyna — were earlier named to the U.
