Everett ended all suspense early Saturday night, beating the visitingTri-City Americans 9-1 to win the best-of-seven first-round series in five games.
The Thunderbirds fell 5-1 to the Vancouver Giants, who won the series 4-2.
The Silvertips, who scored three goals in each period, got three goals and an assist from Bryce Kindropp and a pair of goals from Zack Andrusiak.
Dustin Wolf stopped 17 shots for the Silvertips, who will play Spokane in the next round.
