Arizona State (6-5 overall) became the ninth Pac-12 team to formally qualify for bowl eligibility with its victory over rival Arizona on Saturday.
The Huskies, now 5-6 overall (and 3-5 in the Pac-12) following their rout of Oregon State on Saturday, would become the conference’s 10th team to officially become bowl eligible if they defeat rival Washington State in the Apple Cup on Friday at Husky Stadium (12:30 p.m., FOX).
But even if the Huskies lose the Apple Cup, there remains a possibility that they could backdoor their way into a bowl game with a 5-7 record.
