Evaluating where Huskies, Cougs landed in the 2019 NFL Draft

After three days and seven rounds, the 2019 NFL Draft is over. Dreams were achieved and crushed as players found out whether or not they would have the chance to be on an NFL roster. Among those were a host of Washington and Washington State players, each with drastically varying prospects.

During the lead up to the draft, Washington defensive backs Byron Murphy and Taylor Rapp had been mentioned as strong candidates to hear their names called in the first round. Instead, both fell into the second. By contrast, Huskies tight end Drew Sample was pinned as a likely late-round pick but ended up coming off the board in the second round as well.
