ESPN broadcaster who will call this week’s game says Huskies ‘got their feelings hurt’ in loss to Stanford

ESPN will broadcast Saturday’s UW-Utah game beginning at 7:30 p.m., and the ESPN broadcast team that night is Mark Jones, Rod Gilmore and Quint Kessenich.

The last time that crew was at Husky Stadium was for the Oct. 7 broadcast of the UW-Cal game, during which Kessenich rankled many here by using three cupcakes to represent the Huskies’ three nonconference opponents. Later in the broadcast, Jones called Chris Petersen “irascible and somewhat cantankerous” because Petersen declined to do a sitdown interview with that crew.

He continued to pester Husky fans on Twitter, posting multiple tweets about UW’s loss to Stanford, saying “Huskies got their feelings hurt when I tried to tell em weeks ago.
