BREMERTON — It was more like the scene on a baseball diamond after a walkoff home run than anything you would expect to see on a golf course.
After Washington senior Cheng-Tsung Pan made a birdie on his final hole to close out a dominating four-stroke victory in the men’s NCAA Bremerton Regional on Saturday, his teammates flocked to the green, giving him bear hugs and chanting “Legend.”
Pan, who extended his UW record with his eighth career victory and second regional title, seemed a bit embarrassed by all the fuss, but he said the camaraderie means a lot to him.
