Boeing has appointed Scott Fancher, credited with finally getting the 787 Dreamliner program on track, to take charge of fixing the KC-46 Air Force tanker program.
The senior Boeing executive credited with finally getting the 787 Dreamliner program on track is now in charge of fixing the troubled KC-46 Air Force tanker program.
In an internal Boeing memo, new chief executive Dennis Muilenburgsaid he’s given Scott Fancher “a special interim assignment” to “return this program to successful execution.”
Fancher is senior vice president for airplane development, responsible for overseeing all Boeing’s new airplane programs — the 737 MAX, 777X and 787-10 in addition to the tanker.
