Last week, I wrote that one of the tricky parts about analyzing week one is deciding separating the signal from the noise. How much of what we saw was a trend and how much was random variance? I chalked up Michigan’s QB struggles and Oregon’s poor O-Line play to variance. Neither unit would be as good as the 2023 vintage, but both would be better in Week 2 than Week 1. Wrong. I missed two ATS picks because those datapoints became trends. Let’s try to embrace those trends in a week that is rife with big home dogs.
