Archbishop Murphy senior defensive back Kyler Gordon, one of the top recruits to sign with the Washington Huskies in December, returned an interception 49 yards for a first-half touchdown to help Team Makai to a 31-14 victory over Team Mauka at the second Polynesian Bowl played Saturday night at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.
Gordon also had a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and four tackles, and was named the game’s defensive MVP award.
He was one of six UW signees at the Polynesian Bowl, joining offensive lineman M.J. Ale, linebacker Ale Kaho, linebacker M.J. Tafisi, defensive lineman Sam Taimani and linebacker Zion Tupuola-Fetui.
